Traditionally a Sgian Dubh was hand made by a local smith (Gobha or Gowan), as a utility knife. We embrace tradition by crafting and building your Sgian Dubh, by hand as you imagine it.

We offer a genuine alternative to the mass produced and  resin copies. We provide a bespoke service to accommodate your individual requirements. Its for you to choose the components for your Sgian Dubh, creating a unique link to your heritage and a precious heirloom for future generations.

We are a company with traditional values, promoting quality over quantity. We don't manufacture Sgian Dubh - we build them for you, by hand, to order. You will see some examples of our work on our website, but there are more options available.

Some Of Our Recent Designs

Our Sgian Dubh are designed for ceremonial or ornamental use, to wear with National dress. To comply with current U.K. legislation, Sgian Dubh will only be sold to customers over 18 years old.

Proof of age will be required prior to completion of the sale.
